Answer = If a non-Muslim is from the People of the Book (i.e., a Jew or Christian) and he slaughters an animal while pronouncing Bismillah, then the meat is undoubtedly permissible (halal) to consume. However, according to clear rulings of Shari’ah, it is forbidden to eat meat from animals slaughtered by polytheists (those who associate partners with Allah) or apostates (those who have left Islam). Therefore, it is essential to avoid consuming such meat.
اگر کوئی غیر مسلم اہل کتاب (یعنی یہودی یا عیسائی) میں سے ہو اور وہ بسم اللہ کہتے ہوئے جانور ذبح کرے تو اس کا گوشت کھانا بلاشبہ حلال ہے۔ البتہ شریعت کے واضح احکام کے مطابق مشرکوں (اللہ کے ساتھ شرک کرنے والے) یا مرتد (جو اسلام چھوڑ چکے ہیں) کے ذبح کیے گئے جانوروں کا گوشت کھانا حرام ہے۔ اس لیے ضروری ہے کہ ایسے گوشت کے استعمال سے پرہیز کیا جائے۔
