Answer:
Punishing children under the age of ten for a minor mistake or misunderstanding is a very dangerous and sinful act, which cannot be forgiven. Therefore, extreme caution is required in this matter, otherwise there will be a punishment on the Day of Judgment, which will never happen.
However, if they are punished for a real mistake for the sake of politeness and education, then it is permissible to hit them up to three times with the hand, but that too should not be on the face and with such force that marks are left on the body, or any organ is destroyed. While hitting more than three times and using wood etc. is prohibited. Thus, it is stated in the Hadith Sharif that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told a teacher and teacher named Mardas that if a child needs punishment, do not hit him more than three times, otherwise (on the Day of Judgment) Allah Almighty will take revenge on you for it.
دس سال سے کم عمر بچوں کو کسی معمولی غلطی یا غلط فہمی پر سزا دینا انتہائی خطرناک اور قبیح فعل ہے، جسے معاف نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔ اس لیے اس معاملے میں انتہائی احتیاط کی ضرورت ہے، ورنہ قیامت کے دن ایسا عذاب ہو گا جو کبھی نہیں ہو گا۔
البتہ اگر شائستگی اور تعلیم کی وجہ سے انہیں کسی حقیقی غلطی کی سزا دی جائے تو ہاتھ سے تین بار مارنا جائز ہے لیکن وہ بھی چہرے پر اور اتنی طاقت سے نہیں ہونا چاہئے کہ جسم پر نشان رہ جائیں یا کوئی عضو تباہ ہو جائے۔ جبکہ تین بار سے زیادہ مارنا اور لکڑی وغیرہ کا استعمال ممنوع ہے۔ چنانچہ حدیث شریف میں آتا ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مرداس نامی ایک استاد اور استاد سے فرمایا کہ اگر کسی بچے کو سزا کی ضرورت ہو تو اسے تین سے زیادہ نہ مارو، ورنہ (قیامت کے دن) اللہ تعالیٰ تم سے اس کا بدلہ لے گا۔
